In her spare time, Miki likes to read and write, draw, wrench, play video games and generally kick a lot of butt!!
Is there anything this sexy vixen can't do??
"At the end of the day, I think that every experience in life is a collection of memories and lessons learned. I just want to make a difference and keep it real, at the same time."
Well said, Miki!!
IN HER OWN WORDS:
For those curious, I'm 50% Japanese and the other half American... meaning a mix of German, Italian, Irish, Scottish, Polish, Russian, English, Spanish, Welsh, and French. Currently, I reside in the wonderful city of New York, New York. Born in Japan but raised in the US, I have never lived in any one place for more than a few years, which has given me an immense appreciation for travel and versatility.
I invite growth and am excited by change, reflected in my favorite quote of the moment: "A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing." by, George Bernard Shaw. Though it's taken 20-some years, I've finally come to realize that it's okay to make mistakes, because it is essentially those mistakes that determine who we become. We are all human and prone to error at some point in our lives. Forgiveness, to me, is a sign of tremdendous strength. One must be able to forgive before they can ever hope to be forgiven.
I am a passionate person, therefore, I say and do things whole-heartedly. Talk is cheap, so I only say what I mean and always I mean what I say. Initially, I can come across as shy but once you get me out of my shell, I am quite a handful. Anyone who knows me would say I'm a big dork... so lookout! Giving hugs and being randomly lame is my idea of fun. I'm not afraid to laugh at myself, but understand that there is a time and a place for everything. Though I'm generally easy-going in nature, I do take life seriously and am much deeper than you might think. Super analytical and flawed to the umpteenth degree, I'll be the first to proclaim that I'm far from perfect.
I am a faithful friend, an intense lover and fierce fighter... a walking contradiction in many senses, but fairly transparent at the core of things. I have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve and suck at hiding my feelings but I would have it no other way. To be vulnerable is not to be weak, it's to be human. Though I'm nice, I won't hesitate to stand up for anything I believe in. One such belief is that humility, while admirable, is often misunderstood.
My strongest word of advice (to anyone who cares) is to ALWAYS be yourself. We should never compromise who we are for the sake of others. I feel that life should be about development, not digression. For that very reason, I prefer to surround myself with genuine, sincere, real individuals who assist in positive change and resist negativity. I have been blessed, thus far, to have had the most wonderful friends and fans than I could have ever asked for. Words can not express my gratitude to each and everyone who has shown their undying love and support for me through this journey called, life. Without the strength and kindness of others, I know for a fact that I would not be where I am today.
Having made it through the first quarter of life, I've come to find that people learn most about themselves and others when they are at their lowest points. This has taught me to embrace and appreciate every experience... good AND bad. The beauty of a breakdown is reformation; becoming something (or someone) "bigger and better" than before. I'm inspired by people who live for a higher purpose and aspire to make a positive impact on others or society, as a whole. I believe in the power of one's own mind and hold steadfast to the notion that life is what we make of it.
I'll never claim to be anything I'm not, nor will I ever apologize for who and/or what I am. Whether you like it, love it, or hate it... this is me. If you can accept me, despite my imperfections... I'll make it my mission to be sure you never regret it.
